The Alquema Journey
Virginia’s journey began on film sets as a photographer and film maker, developing an eye for detail, structure, and texture. Her passion for storytelling soon shifted to the world of fashion, where she began crafting clothing that transcends borders and cultures. A pivotal moment occurred in the 90s when Virginia discovered the ancient Japanese art of Shibori during her travels to Japan. This timeless craft has since been a cornerstone of Alquema’s collections, inspiring our designs with its dynamic movement and intricate pleating techniques.
